STEPHANIE PFRIENDER STYLANDER
Stephanie Pfriender Stylander
Stephanie Pfriender Stylander began her career assisting legendary photographer Art Kane in New York. Her fashion and celebrity portraiture has appeared in Vanity Fair, VOGUE, GQ, Harper’s Bazaar, and Interview. In 1992, she received an assignment to shoot a fashion story in New York for Italian Harper’s Bazaar. Looking for a new face, a model agent recommended that she consider a new girl they had just met in London who was “a punk- type kid - offbeat, cool, petite, unusual”, and who hadn’t worked in New York before. The “new girl” was Kate Moss, and these photographs became her editorial debut in the U.S.
