AWAY WE GO, a new photography installation by Sophie Elgort inspired by postcards and the spirit of travel, is available to view at Lafayette 148’s Soho boutique (just a few blocks away from Staley-Wise Gallery) from May 1 through June 16, 2023 and at Lafayette 148’s Beverly Hills boutique from July 11 through August 4, 2023. What started as a happy accident in Elgort's camera turned into a series of double exposure analog images about reflection, movement, light, and color. Several of the works are printed on fabric and are gently swaying in the space, mimicking the movement in the images.

ABOUT SOPHIE ELGORT:
Sophie Elgort is a photographer and director born in New York City. Her work exists at the intersection of photography and storytelling, to make people feel valued by telling their stories, both through image and words. In addition to her commissions for multiple fashion brands, her photographs have appeared in publications including Cultured, Elle, Paper, Teen Vogue and The Financial Times, and she has photographed personalities including Brooke Shields, Naomi Watts, John Waters, Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Dove Cameron and more. Sophie was previously named to Forbes' “30 under 30” list and to The Daily Front Row's “12 New Wave Creatives Moving Fashion Forward”. She is also a frequent public speaker and has presented at the Rubin Museum of Art, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Pratt Institute and Brown University.
