PRISCILLA RATTAZZI (born 1956)
Priscilla Rattazzi was born in Rome, Italy and came to the United States in the early seventies. She studied photography at Sarah Lawrence, and later worked as an assistant to photographer Hiro.
Throughout the eighties, Rattazzi worked as a fashion and portrait photographer. Her work has appeared in New York, Redbook, Self, Brides and The New York Times Magazine. In Italy, her work has appeared in VOGUE Italia, Donna, and Amica.
Priscilla Rattazzi has published four books: Best Friends (Rizzoli, 1989), a collection of famous and not so famous people with their dogs; Children (Rizzoli, 1992), a collection of photographs of children in early childhood; Georgica Pond (Callaway, 2000), a ten-year examination of a body of water on the East End of Long Island; and Luna & Lola (Callaway, 2010), the story of Rattazzi’s two dogs, a golden retriever and a miniature dachshund, woven as a metaphorical tale of family life.
